What We Collect
CTRL+ALT+Email is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the service:
- Microsoft Account Info: When you sign in via SSO, we receive your email address and display name from Microsoft. This is used solely to authenticate and send emails on your behalf.
- Usage Metrics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g., number of emails sent) to improve the product. No personally identifiable information is included.
What We Don't Collect
- We do not read, store, or transmit your spreadsheet data.
- We do not store your email content or recipient lists.
- We do not sell, share, or monetise any user data.
How Emails Are Sent
Emails are sent directly through Microsoft's Graph API using your own Microsoft 365 account. They appear in your Sent Items folder. CTRL+ALT+Email acts as a client — we never relay or proxy your emails through our own servers.
Data Storage
Your spreadsheet data is processed entirely within the Excel application on your device. It never leaves your machine or is transmitted to our servers.
Third Parties
We use the following third-party services:
- Microsoft Graph API — for authentication and email sending.
- Vercel — for hosting the add-in frontend.
- Google Cloud Run — for hosting the backend API.
